 Installation Technician

QComp Technologies is a robotic systems integrator in the Fox Valley that serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. Our company, which is based in Greenville, has approximately 30 employees and provides robotic packaging systems, material handling systems and automation line integration for clients in the flat glass, solar, consumer products, food, pharmaceutical, plastics, paper, and metals industries.

In an effort to support our continued growth, we have created an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the QComp team as an Installation Technician. 

In this role, you will be involved with the mechanical assembly and wiring of customer robotic machinery and industrial control panels, control stations and related components in the shop and at the end customer facility. 
 

QComp Technologies recently added a 2,500 square foot addition to their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville, Wisconsin, which brings their total plant capacity to 30,000 square feet. QComp engineers, programs, assembles, stages and tests the complete robot cell at the Greenville location, in our environmentally controlled shop.

You can contribute and have an impact by…

• Following the robotics system from QComp’s shop to the customer site to supervise customer provided riggers and ensure proper alignment and installation
• Interfacing with the customer to diagnose problems during installation
• Performing mechanical assembly & wiring
• Marking up drawings for the engineering team
• Creating prototypes or making modifications to components
• Preparing systems for power up, basic I/O checks and verifying pneumatic and mechanical completion of the system
• Performing quality checks to meet customer quality standards
• Working closely with and communicating with our talented team of engineers and technicians

Qualifications & Experience you bring…

• High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
• Ability to read blueprints
• Show attention to detail to meet customer standards
• Ability to follow instructions to complete assignments
• Previous experience with mechanical or electrical assembly a plus
• Working knowledge of common hand and power tools and experience with manual vertical milling machine, lathe, drill press and welding preferred
